Wedding Accessories

Accessories are not an after thought. They are the crowning glory that compliments a bride's dress and veil bringing her vision for her wedding day into focus. With an eye to current bridal fashion I will design jewelry, sashes, a headpiece or veil bringing the vision of your wedding day vision to life.

Today's bridal trend is to use antique jewelry to repurpose into fashion forward bridal jewelry. The focal point of this necklace is from a 1950's rhinestone necklace which I added hundreds of individually hand-strung seed pearls. The design is complete with an antique rhinestone clasp.

After the bride has purchased her dress and accessories her attention turns to her attendants. They are an intricate part of the vision she has for her special day. Later you'll be able to click on the picture to see more examples of maid of honor, bridesmaids, and flower girl accessories I have designed.

The mother of one of my brides wanted her daughter's wedding accessories designed from her wedding dress. The dress was simple, but elegant. It took me a while before I could bring myself to cut into her beautiful dress, but as every designer knows the first cut is the hardest. I designed two ring bearer pillows, hair accessories for the maid-of-honor, flower girls and the bride's headpiece and the sash for her dress. When I asked the mother why she wanted to use her wedding dress she said, “When I look at everyone I will see my dress and enjoy it again, it's better then it sitting in a box hidden from everyone.” Here are the items I designed for this bride and her mother.

Bridal Comb...
Today's bride is looking to add bling on her special day. Here we have a bridal comb that adds bling with elegance. This comb is designed with multi-sized and faceted Swarovski crystals in silver settings.  I work with every bride to select the size of her headpiece/comb as well as the crystals that are used. I use only Swarovski and Percosia crystals.

Veils...
Veils can be frightfully expensive. This is one accessory that can help the bride stay within her budget. My veils are simple, but elegant and add the final detail to bring the brides vision to life.

Mother of the bride...
Mother's of the bride often fret just as much as the bride when it comes to finding accessories to compliment her own dress. Not only does she have a vision for the accessories she wants for her outfit, she also wants her daughter's advise in designing her accessories. I work with mother's and daughters to bring their ideas from thought, to paper to finished design.

Handkerchiefs...
An often overlooked accessory is the handkerchief. Once a staple of a woman’s fashion today the handkerchief has been replaced by paper tissues such as Kleenex. On the day of the wedding a paper tissue will shred after just a few tears. I hand embroider antique handkerchiefs with the bride's name, her fiance's name along with the date of the wedding in a corner. This handkerchief can be handed from bride to her daughter on her wedding day, becoming a family heirloom.
